About the Role:
As Treasurer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and stability of Columbia Bank. This position provides visionary leadership and hands-on management for a talented team of professionals across key Treasury functions, including liquidity management, interest rate risk, investment portfolio oversight, capital planning, and wholesale funding. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll influence both short-term objectives and long-range business strategies that drive sustainable growth.
Your impact will extend beyond numbers, you'll lead initiatives that safeguard assets, optimize performance, and strengthen relationships within the financial community. Through research, analysis, and strategic execution, you'll ensure the Company's treasury operations align with its broader financial goals. As a leader, you'll mentor and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct Treasury operations including liquidity and asset/liability management to achieve or exceed strategic objectives.
Shape financial strategy by developing and maintaining strong relationships within the financial community and guiding accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
Advance asset/liability and investment policies, ensuring robust controls and compliance.
Collaborate with senior executives to define objectives and implement long-range business plans.
Drive the development of bank-wide procedures and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, providing expertise on processes, best practices, and risk mitigation.
About You:
You're a strategic thinker with deep financial expertise and a passion for leadership. You thrive in complex environments, excel at problem-solving, and inspire confidence through your vision and execution.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including liquidity management, interest rate risk, investment portfolio, and tax.
10+ years of proven management experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Exceptional judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with executives, stakeholders, and community partners.
Expertise in banking policies, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Ability to solve complex, enterprise-level challenges with creativity and diplomacy.
Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems.
Experience in hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences or eager to learn.
The base pay range for this posting is $320,000.00 to 390,000.00.
The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
