Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, the RPC Sorter is responsible for the sortation of Reusable Plastic Containers (RPCs), dunnage airbags, and other materials as needed to meet the requirements of PLA standards and production goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

As an RPC Sorter, your responsibilities will include:

• Sorting RPCs or other material as needed by hand in a neat and orderly fashion according to established quality and categorization criteria.
• Sorting and categorizing inflatable dunnage airbags, ensuring usable bags are organized and packed for reuse, and properly disposing of unusable airbags.
• Complying with all safety and PLA policies and procedures.
• Maintaining a clean work environment - sweeping debris around warehouse and dock areas.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to distinguish and categorize materials based on defined standards (quality, size, type).
• Experience in a production, warehouse, or sorting environment is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety rules and regulations.
• Basic reading and counting skills for accurately sorting materials.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires the ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull materials that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
• You must be able to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.
• Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity for quick and accurate sorting.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
