US Logistics & Trade Compliance Coordinator

Location: Phoenix, AZ | Shift: Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM MST | Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 | Employment type: Full-time | Seniority level: Entry level | Job function: Business Development and Sales | Industries: Truck Transportation

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate documentation required by U.S. Customs and government agencies for entry of goods into the U.S. on behalf of importers.
  • Provide impeccable customer service to exporters, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and internal staff.
  • Process commodities identified for specialized processing to reduce risk of penalties through proper duty preference classification.
  • Obtain correct classification for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, internet resources, and customs information.
  • Data?entry and processing of import?related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and handling all participating government agencies (PGAs).
  • Maintain current shipment documentation in compliance with record?keeping requirements.
  • Adhere to all international importing/exporting regulations.
  • Handle agency brokerage shipments and remote filings as needed.
  • Perform entry reconciliations, reviews, and follow?ups on customs matters to resolve problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and participate in paid training programs.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 months of work experience; 12 months of industry experience preferred.
  • Data entry/keyboard proficiency required.
  • MS Office and Outlook proficiency; experience with office equipment (phone, fax, scanner, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem?solving skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume and time?sensitive work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with multiple systems and reference materials.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules preferred.
  • CCS and/or broker's license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Shift: Mon - Fri 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM MST
  • Hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ
