Job Details

Under the direction of the Supervisor Cash Posting, this position completes all payment postings to patient accounts. Reconciles payments and shortages for both paper and electronic EOBs.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.22 - $23.92

Qualifications

Education

• Requires HighSchoolDiploma or GED.

Experience

• Prefer experience performing payment posting, healthcare patient accounting, medical insurance/billing/reimbursement, or related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have knowledge of hospital patient account systems and cash receipts processes.
• Must have strong data entry skills and know 10-key by touch.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to handle granular details regarding payments and contracts.
• Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to apply math/business concepts to solve problems.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
