Marathon Staffing is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to fill the role of 911 Dispatcher. This is a vital position in public safety communications, offering an opportunity to serve the community while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Dispatcher, you will handle all aspects of emergency and non-emergency call taking, radio dispatching, and operating various communications equipment and technologies. You will be trained to meet APCO Fundamental Dispatcher standards and will work closely with a team committed to excellence in public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate communications equipment including CAD systems, 911 systems, multi-channel radios, and computer databases.
  • Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, gather vital information, and prioritize responses.
  • Calm and assist distressed callers in high-pressure situations.
  • Dispatch emergency responders and relay critical information efficiently.
  • Monitor radio channels, maintain patrol unit status, and track officer activities.
  • Log messages, update incident reports, and manage database entries.
  • Access and retrieve information from various automated systems and maps.
  • Operate and maintain communication recording systems and follow departmental policies.
  • Coordinate with regional, state, and federal agencies as needed.
  • Perform clerical tasks and ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnights.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a public safety dispatcher, with law enforcement call taking and radio dispatching emphasis.
  • Ability to obtain Arizona TOC Level A ACJIS/NCIC Certification.
  • Knowledge of police CAD systems, 911 equipment, trunked radio systems, and jurisdictional maps.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
