Description

Packing Specialist Job Description
Prisma is seeking a motivated individual to join our shipping team. This person must be very organized, capable of establishing and following procedures and a strong communicator.

Work Schedule:
• Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:
• Pack, seal and label packages for shipment
• Determine shipping priorities and work to meet schedules. Coordinate with other associates as needed
• Correspond with outside departments regarding job status and shipment tracking
• Control and monitor packing and shipping. Ensure it is performed according to procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper safety methods
• Forklift and/or pallet jack experience a plus
• Maintain safe work area in a clean and orderly condition; comply with safety procedures and operating rules
• Knowledge of common warehouse practices
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements
• 2 years or more shipping and packing experience
• Experience in the printing industry and with print ERP preferred.
• Must have shipping software experience (i.e FedEx, UPS)
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Lift Truck experience preferred

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
