GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Alar Operator is responsible for assisting filling operations under the mezzanine, on the fill lines, and running the water filtration system ensuring the facility is in compliance with all local regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operate automated water filtration equipment to ensure appropriate levels of wash water and compliance with local regulations as outlined by Dunn-Edwards Standard Operating Procedures. (Daily)
* Ensure all safety standards are met. (Daily)
* Meet highest standards of housekeeping and cleanliness. (Daily)
* Train employees in standard processes as appropriate. (Monthly)
* Assist in filling operations under the mezzanine and on the fill lines. (Weekly)
* Complete all other assigned tasks and duties as assigned. (Daily)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. For safety reasons, ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Power Industrial Truck license is required.
