Hourly Range: $23.00 - $26.00, DOE
Hands on leader, who provides direction while working with a group of individuals, who performs a variety of functions such as shipping, receiving, sorting, inventorying, delivering and picking up items, packages, mail and shipments to and from campus.
Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU will not be a sponsor for this position.
Essential Duties:
Coordinates daily operational tasks and projects with individuals on the team. Including the following:
• Schedules and assists with deliveries and pickups to and from campus.
• Fills out necessary paperwork to receive and ship mail, packages and equipment.
• Supports the training of new employees
• Performs the inspection of incoming shipments from external vendors and items picked up from campus.
• Takes the lead on important assignments and/or projects which require attention to detail and sound execution.
• Manages the inventory of items coming in and out of the warehouse.
• Utilizes software applications to perform tasks such as ordering, receiving and inventorying items.
• Responsible for making sound decisions to ensure the safety of the individuals on the team and department.
• Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and experience in utilizing software applications in a warehouse setting.
• Skills and experience in safely operating a forklift.
• Skills and experience in customer service
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through email.
• Skills and experience in demonstrating how to safely lift heavy objects.
• Knowledge and experience in how to hold individuals accountable.
• Skills and abilities to safely operate automated equipment and other warehouse operations.
• Knowledge and experience in managing the key aspects of inventory.
Desired Qualifications:
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience operating a forklift
• Experience driving a large bulk truck
• Experience loading and offloading heavy equipment
Working Environment:
• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled warehouse setting subject to extended periods of standing and walking moderate distances to perform work.
• Required to learn and utilize a variety of software applications and technology equipment to perform key functions of the position.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through email.
