PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembly Technician in Phoenix, AZ for a 6-month contract-to-hire role working full-time in a fast-paced production environment. This position supports a major aerospace & defense company and involves hands-on assembly of components ranging from simple subassemblies to complex builds. Candidates must be comfortable with repetitive, detail-oriented work and capable of standing for long shifts while maintaining high quality standards.

Required Skills

• Ability to use both hands to manipulate, handle, and assemble components using basic hand and power tools
• Ability to lift, move, pull, and horizontally transfer products up to 60 lbs unassisted
• Ability to read and apply work instructions and work order information
• Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and adherence to established processes
• Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Experience with general mechanical or production assembly
• Aerospace assembly background is a plus

What You'll Do

• Assemble a variety of mechanical subassemblies and full assemblies according to routing operations and acceptance test guidelines
• Use common hand and power tools to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently
• Pack and store finished goods in accordance with program requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while following all safety policies and procedures
• Perform repetitive, detail-driven work with consistent output and precision
• Follow written instructions and quality standards to ensure compliance across all build operations
• Support additional tasks as assigned to meet production goals and schedules

Required Experience & Education

• Minimum of 1 year in a production or assembly environment, technical schooling, or an approved equivalent combination
• High School Diploma or GED required
