Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1st Shift Monday thru Saturday 5:30am to 3pm

About the Role
We're seeking a reliable, detail-focused Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our first-shift operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all orders are prepared and processed on time. What You'll Do
Verify, document, and maintain records for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Prepare outbound shipments by assembling, labeling, packaging, and organizing materials for transport.
Receive, unpack, inspect, and accurately record incoming merchandise and materials.
Compare shipment contents with manifests, invoices, COAs, packing slips, and BOLs to confirm accuracy.
Track shipment details, including weights, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date files of shipping records and assist in locating missing or delayed shipments.
Communicate with the shift supervisor regarding shipment issues, damages, or nonconformance.
Manage inventory of shipping materials, including requisitioning and storing supplies.
Prepare required documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and routing instructions.
Follow written specifications and customer requirements to ensure all outbound shipments meet standards.
Read and process customer orders, work orders, and requisitions to determine necessary materials.
Coordinate carrier pickups and route materials to appropriate production departments.
What You Bring
At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience using SAP and Smartsheet is strongly preferred.
Ability to safely operate PIT equipment (powered industrial trucks).
High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to work efficiently on a busy shift
