Job Title: SDA - Systems Engineer Job Location: (Remote) AZ 85257 Onsite Requirements: 5 years Systems Engineering experience required, MBSE preferred End-to-end systems or software requirements engineering experience Experience with Cameo, MagicDraw, Matlab, SysML, etc Job Description: As an Advanced Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs Preferred Experience: Technical Background: Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on: Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment Simulation and Modeling: Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus Preferred Skills: Ground system design or scheduling knowledge Tracking mission design knowledge Satellite communications knowledge Ground to Satellite communication knowledge System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture What sets you apart: Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the systems development life cycle Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others 3rd party and subcontract staffing agencies are not eligible for partnership on this position. 3rd party subcontractors need not apply.
