Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Superintendent for Heavy Civil Roadway Division

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee, direct, and manage heavy civil roadway construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and estimates prior to project commencement.
• Coordinate scheduling of crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
• Monitor project progress, update schedules, and communicate labor/equipment needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Manage field operations, including quality control, traffic control, and drainage.
• Maintain daily logs, as-built plans, and submit required reports.
• Oversee hiring, termination, and workforce management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on change orders, cost reports, and job closeouts.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.

Experience:

• 8+ years in construction management,craft supervision, and Roadway / Highway construction.
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Experience reading blueprints, managing budgets, and leading teams.

Other:

• Valid driver's license (clean record).
• Bilingual skills (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary:

• $90,000 – $150,000 per year (based on experience).
