This is a new role reporting to our Head, US Emerging Middle Market & US Growth Strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Transformation in a business banking or commercial banking credit underwriting operational environment, strong financial acumen for the business, and the ability to work horizontally with partners. Preferred experience includes organizing town halls, strategy decks, and strong communication via newsletters, team messaging, and cross-enterprise communications.

Ideal candidate will lead and develop all key strategic initiatives required to meet overall client experience and financial objectives. The mandate is to drive and influence the development and execution of large-scale initiatives across various LOBs/jurisdictions and lead strategy development in partnership with the leadership team. Results are achieved through partnering with leaders and key representatives using a consultative, cross-functional approach.

  • Recommends measures to improve organizational effectiveness and may consult to or serve on committees and task forces.
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops a roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Leads successful implementation and execution of all approved strategic initiatives; provides strategic advice to LOB to articulate strategy and build capabilities.
  • Solicits business input and aggregates strategic initiatives through partnerships with business leaders and peers.
  • Leads Leadership Team assessments to identify opportunities, threats, and challenges; ensures analytics support strategic initiatives.
  • Develops strategic solutions to support high-level strategy; prioritizes initiatives with leadership to establish an execution game plan.
  • Leads identification of opportunities to drive innovation to enhance the client experience.
  • Disaggregates strategic challenges into issues and develops/implements solutions; acts as primary contact for internal/external stakeholder relationships, including regulators.
  • Leads development and execution of competitive intelligence capabilities; defines requirements for analytics and reporting to inform decision making.
  • Develops and applies data governance frameworks for databases; oversees data governance compliance.
  • Monitors performance, addresses issues, and ensures consistent communication of strategy and messaging.
  • Leads development of communications strategy to positively influence or change behavior; collaborates across BMO to ensure messaging consistency.
  • Executes operational programs; adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
  • Oversees design, development, and implementation of tools and training to deliver business results; ensures compliance with enterprise governance processes.
  • Ensures sales pipeline strategy meets stakeholder needs and develops integrated sales reporting to enable recognition and planning; collaborates with sales leaders and product analytics on compensation models.
  • Creates detailed sales pipeline strategy for accurate pipeline health assessment; collaborates with client implementation and service teams to standardize onboarding and service reporting.
  • Develops client growth and retention reporting standards; delivers timely, accurate service.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise level as a senior specialist across BMO and influences how teams work together.

Qualifications: Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong industry knowledge, expert-level verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence and collaboration abilities, and data-driven decision-making. Ability to manage ambiguity and operate cross-functionally.

Salary: $164,400.00 - $285,600.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries vary by location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications; may include a commission structure. Part-time salaries are pro-rated. For commission roles, the listed salary reflects the target for the first year.
