Phlebotomist

We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team in Glendale. The successful candidate will be responsible for drawing blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. This role requires the collection and receipt of biological specimens, their accurate entry into the computer system, preparation for analytical testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical area. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Draw blood from patients and perform specimen processing.
  • Collect and receive biological specimens and enter them into the computer system.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the correct analytical area.
  • Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with pre and post aspects of analytical testing.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience (donor, plasma, and MA phlebotomy do not qualify).
  • Proficient in blood draw, specimen collection, laboratory processes, and patient care.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in phlebotomy within a doctor's office setting is preferred.
  • Rehire candidates may be considered if they left on good terms more than 6 months ago.
Work Environment

This position is based in a doctor's office in Glendale, AZ, working alongside medical assistants. The work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The environment provides opportunities for growth, including a career ladder that allows advancement to Phleb Tech 2 after six months, accompanied by a 4% pay increase. The organization prioritizes internal promotions for leadership roles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
