The laboratory of Ebenezer Yamoah, PhD at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a highly motivated Research Technician I to aid in a research project focused on the genetic background of various neurological disorders. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded, enthusiastic individual with training in the broad area of biomedical sciences. The candidate should have basic experience performing research in a laboratory setting, and be familiar with techniques such as DNA/ RNA extraction, PCR and sequencing. In addition, the candidate is expected to aid in the data analysis and have an interest (or experience) in basic bioinformatic analyses techniques.
