Position Overview:
The Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Managers of Dutch Bros Inc. (the Company) plays critical roles within the finance team by bringing their expertise to drive accounting and reporting processes that support the Company's growth. These managers are primarily responsible for either (1) the external reporting process and related activities of the Company, including accurate and timely filings of the
Company's Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy and other filings as required; or (2) the technical accounting process and related activities, which include identifying the need for and maintaining the Company's accounting policies, assessing unique and complex transactions for the proper accounting treatment, and advising the business on the accounting implications for complex and unusual transactions.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar, required
5+ years of related experience, preferably a mixture of public and industry accounting for a public company, required
Master's degree or CPA, required
Experience in preparation of audited public company financial statements
Strong knowledge of the U.S. GAAP and SEC rules & regulations, required
Experience in SOX 404(b) public company environment preferred
Software experience preferred: D365 and Workiva/Wdesk
Experience with derivatives accounting highly desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Well-organized, ability to deliver products timely
Self-starter, able to work independently while also being collaborative with teammates
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Manage the external reporting process and related activities, or lead the execution of accounting policies and perform technical assessments of nonstandard transactions:
Preparation of financial statements footnotes and schedules for quarterly SEC filings, i.e., Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K processes, working cross-functionally with departments across the organization to ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial statements information and disclosures.
Prepare filings in Workiva/Wdesk platform, including quarterly subcertifications
Manage reporting for quarterly earnings releases and Disclosure Committee meetings
Maintain policy guidance, process, timeline, and templates
Assess unique and complex transactions for the proper accounting treatment, and advise senior leaders on the accounting implications for complex transactions
Perform and write technical analyses in line with relevant GAAP, peer research, and available accounting guidance
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Implement accounting policies and support new accounting standards adoptions as required in compliance with the U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations:
Prepare required IPE and other documentation for PBC requests.
Assist with the design and monitoring of business processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX.
Support annual financial statement and SOX audit processes, as needed
Communicate upcoming accounting standards implications to Finance and Accounting leadership and external auditors
Partner with operational accounting in consulting role for unique, complex and broad-based accounting areas including lease accounting, stock compensation, derivatives accounting, debt/equity transactions, and revenue recognition

In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions
Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings
Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels
Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches. Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
Compensation:
$124,000+ DOE
