Job Summary The Billing and Collection Specialist is responsible for submitting and monitoring insurance claims for medical services provided by Axiom Care. This role includes posting insurance payments from Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), assisting clients with AHCCCS (HEA Plus) applications, and ensuring accurate and timely claim resolution. The position plays a vital role in supporting the organization's revenue cycle and client eligibility processes. Duties/Responsibilities•Review documentation for accuracy for coding and billing purposes.•Submit claims and all communications pertaining to the claims being submitted.•Maintain and update active reports for billing and billable items.•Review and reprocess denied claims.•Posting insurance payments against claims in billing software•Verifying eligibility of clients prior to billing•Follow up on insurance eligibility for clients with pending applications.•Attend meetings as needed for clearinghouse, billing, provider relations, etc.•Completing HEA Plus applications for qualifying patients and tracking the application status•Perform data entry and genera billing support tasks.•Perform other additional duties as assigned by managementJob Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities:•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills•Excellent sales and customer service skills•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills•Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills•Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.•Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software•Patience and professionalism in client interactions•Active CPR and First Aid certification required.•Active Fingerprint Clearance Card•Negative TB Test result within the past 12 monthsRequired Competencies•Compliance and Ethics - Understands, supports, and demonstrates commitment to facility's mission statement.
