Job Title: Field Service Technician II
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Rate: $50-$65 per hour (based on experience and certification)
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel: Up to 50%


Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician II to support electrical field testing and maintenance operations. This role includes performing routine inspections, acceptance and maintenance testing, assisting with troubleshooting, and documenting test results. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical theory, works well under limited supervision, and values safety and precision in every task.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Testing & Inspections
Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical equipment and systems.

Assist in verifying lockout/tagout status and safe de-energized conditions.

Collect and document test data accurately and consistently.

Test Equipment Handling
Assist in setup and breakdown of test equipment.

Maintain tools and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored.

Support field teams with general site preparation and post-testing cleanup.

Reporting & Documentation
Draft and submit clear, detailed reports of testing results and observations.

Support senior technicians in reviewing and finalizing client deliverables.

Project Support
Co-lead small projects and support lead technicians in larger assignments.

Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.

Associate degree or completion of a technical trade program preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical field service experience.

NETA Level II certification preferred or currently pursuing.

Certifications (Preferred)
OSHA 30-Hour

NFPA 70E

MSHA

CPR/First Aid/AED

PowerDB or similar software experience a plus

Skills & Traits
Strong understanding of basic electrical theory and testing practices.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.

Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Capable of working in confined spaces, standing, climbing, and walking for extended periods.

Tolerant of moderate environmental exposure (e.g., noise, heat, dust, grease).

Willing to travel overnight up to 50% and work overtime as needed.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly wage: $50-$65/hr depending on experience and certifications

Paid travel (lodging + daily per diem of $50-$75)
