Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor, responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of the casino's assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors during their assigned shift.This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the protection of Tohono O'odham Gaming Enterprise assets.Responsible for safety operations for the casino through all shifts of the security staff and department.Prepares daily shift schedules.Maintains attendance records and requests for leave.Monitors card exchange.Summarizes shift activities and facilitates a seamless transition to the next shift.Responsible for secure areas and releases keys to assigned personnel.Prepares and submits reports as required, including patrol logs.Patrols the casino premises, lobbies, corridors, bar, and parking areas.Confers with management on any infringements or situations worthy of investigation.Escorts patrons causing disturbances and contacts law enforcement if necessary.Circulates amongst patrons to ensure their safety by being visible.Patrols parking areas for suspicious activities.Cooperates with law enforcement in apprehending criminal activity.Performs the duties of Security Supervisor in their absence.Provides First Aid/CPR until advanced care arrives.Assists in opening and closing procedures in casino areas if necessary.Provides information and directions to guests.Ensures equipment and uniforms are clean, in working order, and complete.Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, including Internal Controls.Investigates reports of accidents and injuries, reporting findings appropriately.Escorts personnel and money exchanges within the casino.Maintains positive communication with team members and fosters a professional work environment.Contributes to team efforts and performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, with no arrests in the past year except minor traffic violations. One (1) year security experience required. Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and be insurable. Must be 18 years or older. Casino security experience preferred. No felony, theft, assault, or stealing convictions. Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, obtain, and maintain a gaming license.Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: Knowledge of safety operations, procedures, and customer service skills in a casino environment.Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.Proficiency in business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.Ability to communicate effectively in English.Outstanding guest service skills.Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships across diverse backgrounds.Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate moral character, honesty, and fairness.Ability to analyze situations and exercise independent judgment.Willingness to seek continuous improvement.Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.Flexibility to work extended hours and various schedules.Professional appearance and demeanor.Maintain a clean driving record.Page 3 of 3Position Classification & Description: Lead Security OfficerEffective September 4, 2020Ability to use good judgment and foresight.Source: Hospitality Online#J-18808-Ljbffr
