YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY :

The Procurement Team Lead will manage a work group responsible for procuring engineered equipment, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. This is a ‘working manager' role that involves executing contractual obligations while providing oversight, support, and mentorship to Procurement Agents and Senior Procurement Agents.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

  • Monitor, evaluate, and mentor the team to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Ensure team compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Oversee and plan all procurement aspects from pre-bid to closeout.
  • Manage projects and people within the region to pursue cost savings and implement process efficiencies.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff and collaborate with the Regional Procurement Manager.
  • Support estimating by obtaining quotations from suppliers for bids.
  • Represent the company in contracts and policy formulation with suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers, consulting with legal and management on project risks and competitiveness.
  • Oversee the bid process via RFPs or RFQs.
  • Qualify and evaluate suppliers of materials and equipment.
  • Lead sourcing events across regions to maximize procurement value.
  • Collaborate on category strategies to increase margins and improve processes.
  • Review metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions with management.
  • Ensure awards follow decision models and delegation of authority.
  • Maintain supplier relationships through SRM.
  • Provide market feedback and assess material availability.
  • Communicate and enforce procurement policies.
  • Handle financial projections, delivery schedules, and reporting.
  • Develop procurement analytics and policies.
  • Review received materials and process documentation.
  • Approve invoices and resolve issues with vendors and AP.
  • Manage NDAs and return materials for credit.

The duties described are general; other responsibilities may be assigned based on needs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and construction procurement.
  • Experience in accounting.
  • Effective delegation, supervision, and mentorship skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to support process improvements and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and team orientation.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US :

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical procurement experience.
  • Relevant education, training, or experience.
  • Travel : Up to 10%.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Primarily indoor work with environmental variations.
  • Possible loud noise on job sites.
  • ADA compliant accommodations available.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
