First review of applications begins May 27, 2025.Manager, Accessible Transit Services is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the operations of Valley Metro's Accessible Transit Services and related programs and services, including paratransit, RideChoice alternative transportation program, travel training, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility certification, oversight of Reduced Fare and Platinum Pass eligibility programs, coordination of agency outreach to the senior and disability communities, staffing of the Valley Metro Accessibility Advisory Group.Provides guidance regarding the accessibility and ADA compliance of other Valley Metro services such as bus, light rail, facilities, and customer-facing information and technologies. Typical duties include preparing and administering related budgets, developing and implementing operating policies and procedures, managing contracts (service providers and consultants), overseeing staff and resources, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Other duties may be added or amended at any time.Manages the operations of Valley Metro's Accessible Transit Services programs and staff, including contracted paratransit and RideChoice operations, ADA certification/eligibility program, reduced fare ID program, travel training, and related services.Develops procedures for program operations and policies to support compliance with laws and regulations.Plans, implements, and manages accessible transit and paratransit services to ensure ADA compliance, including bus, light rail, facility accessibility, and customer-facing information and technologies.Assists with the technical review of the design and construction of capital facilities and equipment related to accessibility.Administers contractual service agreements, ensuring conformance with terms, resolving disputes, and monitoring performance.Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including city agencies, community organizations, contractors, and transit providers.Supervises staff, including prioritizing work, conducting evaluations, training, and making hiring and disciplinary decisions.Develops and implements goals, policies, and priorities, including preparing reports and recommendations for leadership.Oversees regional ADA eligibility certification for Valley Metro paratransit services.Monitors industry standards and legislation related to ADA and accessibility, implementing improvements as needed.Manages departmental budget, forecasts expenditures, and evaluates bids.Serves as a liaison for ADA and accessibility programs to various stakeholders.Participates in meetings, professional organizations, and committees.Performs other related duties as assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
