Job Summary

The Air Logistics General Manager at our PHX location plans, directs, and coordinates warehouse and freight cargo operations, managing and motivating staff in a 24/7/365 environment. Responsibilities include formulating policies, analyzing operations records, reviewing expenditures, recommending capital investments, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements. The role involves overseeing security procedures, conducting investigations, and managing contractual negotiations with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a diverse team, fostering a culture of teamwork, motivation, and pride.
• Develop future leaders and managers within the organization.
• Supervise staff to meet operational standards and service level agreements.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports for senior management.
• Ensure safety compliance among staff and enforce safety standards.
• Participate in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Maintain security and regulatory compliance, including badge issuance and investigations.
• Manage employment records and coordinate government-required meetings.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with airline/logistics experience preferred.
• Have prior experience managing a workforce of 200+ employees and 8-10 years of leadership experience.
• Work flexible hours, including across a 24/7 schedule, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in English, interpersonal skills, computer literacy (MS Office, SAP), and knowledge of airline operations.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods.
