Barry's, founded in West Hollywood in 1998, offers a high-intensity, one-hour workout combining strength and cardio training, focusing on different muscle groups daily to deliver effective, injury-preventive results. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas.

About The Role

The General Manager leads a single Barry's studio, overseeing operations, client experience, team management, and performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, team leadership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Studio Operations

  • Oversee daily operations, including Front Desk, FuelBar, Retail, and Facilities.
  • Manage studio performance, meeting key business metrics, and making strategic decisions.
  • Manage staffing schedules and ensure facilities are maintained and updated.
  • Maintain a presence in the studio, mentoring staff and stepping into management shifts when needed.
  • Assist with new studio openings as required.

Team Leadership

  • Coordinate communication across departments and manage staffing including recruiting and onboarding.
  • Ensure staff training aligns with Barry's standards and conduct performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with HR to address personnel issues and develop talent pipelines.

Community Marketing and Culture

  • Partner with marketing teams on brand initiatives and client acquisition strategies.
  • Foster a unified, engaging studio culture aligned with Barry's values.
  • Represent the brand within the community and participate in local initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in fitness management or related fields such as hospitality or retail.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Financial acumen, leadership skills, and availability for flexible hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds and stand for extended periods.

This role is eligible for the company's Manager Quarterly Incentive Bonus Plan.
