SUMMARY: Assist internal site supervisors with maintaining employee/volunteer compliance and representing the district during internal and external inspections. Monitor, record and report employee and volunteer requirements with regard to complying with district procedures and federal and state laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule mandated new employee and volunteer orientations, working with external vendors in accordance with Arizona Department Health Services.
  • Assist external agency representative(s) during site inspections.
  • Conduct internal site inspections and report compliance issues.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain a variety of records, documents, files, logs, and/or other related health and training required for employees and volunteers and make information available to school sites and external agencies.
  • Support the daily operations of the site front office.
  • Schedule training for staff as necessary.
  • Process volunteers in accordance with district volunteer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
  • Obtain 18 hours annually of certificated training in the area of child care.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • State Licensing Requirements as follows:
    • Must provide documentation of one of the following: High School diploma, G.E.D. or official transcript with degree confer date.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Possess a negative Mantoux TB Skin Test administered within 12 months of hire date or a health care provider's written and dated statement stating incumbent is free from infectious active TB issued within 6 months of hire date.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler's card.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).


KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Department of Health Services laws and regulations
  • Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work.
  • Basic mathematical concepts.
  • Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices.
  • Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
  • Customer service principles.
  • Specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment.
  • Modern office technology.

SKILL IN:
  • Computer literacy, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite, Windows 11 OS.
  • Following directions and meeting standards.
  • Providing attention to detail in assignments.
  • Performing basic math calculations.
  • Comprehending reference books and manuals.
  • Operating assigned tools and equipment.
  • Organizing and maintaining supplies.
  • Providing customer service.
  • Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom and outdoor environment including exposure to loud noise and being on your feet.
