Job Summary

The Clinical Director is responsible for providing management of all clinical functions at the

Behavioral Health Residential Facility. Responsible for providing effective leadership to the

clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing support for the company and

directs all the clinical services within the facilities in accordance with the standards of State

and Federal regulations.

* Preference is given to qualified Navajo Nation and/or Native American Applicants in accordance

with Title 15 N.N.C. Chapter 7 .*

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities

•Maintains an effective clinical organizational structure and delegates appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.

•Informs employees on Axiom Care Policies and Procedures, Licensure requirements and contract terms.

•Functions as leaders of weekly Clinical Staff Meetings.

•Manage clinical team's time efficiently to ensure work is complete. Track productivity of each team member.

•Implements plans for performance improvement.

•Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis.

•Develops cost-effective methods to provide service.

•Provides for staff development (i.e., supervision, educational, etc.)

•Facilitates communication with ancillary services.

•Attends clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally.

•Supervises Interns completing a field placement unless delegated to Clinical Supervisor.

•Demonstrates knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures, and the ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.

•Demonstrates knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.

•Displays the ability to direct and supervise program activities.

•Ensures program efficacy through the use of audit tools based on program KPIs. Prepares reports showing data trends compared to prior months, uses data to make program changes when needed.

Maintains an effective and efficient daily staffing pattern within budgetary constraints.

•Ensures clinical staff meets education/licensure requirements.

•Evaluates clinical staff based on specified performance standards on a timely basis.

•Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.

•Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.

•Assists in formulating standards of patient care.

•Resolve client grievances.

•Provide culturally appropriate modalities in support of client's cultural preferences.

•Promotes inclusion through Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards.

•Promotes mission, vision, and values of the Axiom Care program.

•Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

•Accomplishes clinical human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

•Provide Clinical Supervision to Associate Licensed staff seeking independent licensure with AZBBHE.

•As the Clinical Manager for a 24/7 residential facility, this role requires availability for on-call duties outside regular hours to support onsite staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

•Must be proficient in computer applications, Microsoft Office, related software and electronic medical record systems.

•Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals in both written and oral format.

•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

•Strong time management skills.

•Working knowledge of ASAM.

•Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.

•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

•Experience in working with diverse population and socioeconomic backgrounds, specifically, an understanding of Native American Reservation dynamic preferred.

•Experience with working with Native American population preferred.

•Minimal supervision regarding use of time.

Qualification Requirements

•Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master's Degree in

Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or health related field.

•Independent License with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LCSW, LIAC, LMFT, LPC)

•Minimum of 2 years management setting familiarity with continuous Quality Improvement, and familiarity with Joint Commission standards.

•Possess skills related to all levels of management staff.

•Fingerprint Clearance Card upon hire

•Current First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

•Negative TB Test results within the past 12 months.

•Valid Driver's License and be insurable with our corporate insurance carrier.

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•The employee must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
