Overview
Please note this position is based in our Phoenix, AZ Support Office.
The Data Architect is a technical position, with ultimate technical responsibility for ETL design and development. The Data Architect designs and builds databases, develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery. The Data Architect will review new data sources for adherence to the standards set forth by the team. The candidate for this position will have a deep understanding and many years of experience working with SQL. They will have a track record of multiple project implementations with varying team and organizational sizes. The candidate will also have a deep understanding of how their platform interacts with other technologies. This will be considered a leader position, with responsibilities that include design, development, implementation, documentation, and optimization of an assortment of solutions. Candidates for this position will have prior experience delivering efficient, secure, high performance, and easy-to-support solutions primarily within the Microsoft suite of technologies. They will also have prior experience in providing technical leadership and direction to junior team members.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Management or seven to ten years of equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL technologies.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions and/or hybrid connectivity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding and usage of source control solutions.
• Change and release management skills.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
