Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking Shipping Logistics Coordinators to work for our client in Tempe, AZ!

Title: Shipping Logistics Coordinators

Pay Rate: $26.00/hour

Contract role with possibility of extension/conversion

Location: HYBRID in Tempe, AZ // 8:30am - 5pm

Training schedule: M-Thurs in office, Friday Remote

Reg schedule: Mon & Tues in office, Wed-Fri remote [this can change at ANY time]

Our client is seeking Shipment Disruption Coordinators to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on proactively managing shipping disruptions by working closely with third-party carriers and schedulers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. While this is not a traditional customer service position, the ability to communicate professionally with clients and shipping partners is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage shipment disruptions, working with third parties to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure inbound freight is picked up and delivered to fulfillment centers efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with shippers and carriers via email and occasional outbound calls (approximately 10 per day) to clarify or reschedule shipments when necessary.
• Utilize computers and logistics systems extensively to track, update, and manage shipments.
• Perform case-by-case problem-solving, as each situation is unique.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Must be local to Phoenix, AZ.
• Minimum Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Background in supply chain management, logistics, or operations is preferred.
• Experience in coordination and scheduling is highly valued.
• Must be tech-savvy and comfortable navigating multiple computer systems.
• Must complete a reading, writing, and comprehension assessment (computer-based).
• Strong proficiency in English reading and comprehension.
