About the Company

Founded in the 1980's, the company quickly gained a devoted following for its super-premium product made from a secret family recipe. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented FSQA Team Leader to oversee our in-house lab and ensure quality and food safety production. This role leads a team of six lab technicians across three shifts and the 3rd shift sanitation crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train QA Lab Technicians and Sanitation Team across shifts.
• Conduct root cause analysis, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee microbiological testing and product release to ensure compliance with company standards and federal regulations.
• Manage environmental monitoring, allergen testing, and chemical verification.
• Collaborate with 3rd-party labs and ensure audit readiness for certifications.
• Lead food fraud and vulnerability assessments, staff training, and internal audits.
• Maintain lab inventory, documentation, and product quality records.
• Step in for FSQA Director when needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years QA management experience in food manufacturing
• PCQI, HACCP, and Food Defense training preferred
• GFSI/SQF knowledge
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Supervise for up to 8-10 employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Red Zone experience a plus
• Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field preferred
