JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Behavioral Health Associate provides basic nursing care, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and Therapists.
In addition to Behavioral Health Associate duties the Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) or Peer Support Specialist (PSS) will assist clients in enhancing their recovery and help promote clients' wellness. The RSS/PSS will provide peer support with other clients to effectively navigate the behavioral health system in the process of their recovery.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine, or related field preferred.Completion of accredited Recovery Support Specialist program required.
Experience: Training or experience in substance abuse and/or behavioral health services preferred.
Certification:Recovery Support Specialist or Peer Support Specialist Certification,Healthcare Provider CPR and First Aid, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, TB, and Handle with Care within the first three (3) months of hire and annually thereafter.
